Birds of Paradise. These stunning plants from Africa deserve their name. There are now more varieties available. Leaf shape and size make this an interesting plant, the smaller leaf forms look great in dry style gardens whereas the larger leafed forms work well with the soft tropical look. The giant form, S. nicolai has huge leaves and white flowers. This plant is huge and should be carefully placed as they are difficult to move once established.

All strelitzias require good drainage and flower better in full sun.

Grooming twice a year ensures your plants always look stunning. Dead head the flowers when needed.
